Collage Works

------------------------------

I just finished creating new collage works. It is actually for my friend's Zine project, so it will be printed just black&White, but this time I made color version for this web. (Since I don't need additional payment for each colors. haha) I feel like coloring makes them more like fashion piece than a art piece. How do you think? This time I used some textile dot pattern, created with iPhone app called Autometa. (Which I wrote about such a long time ago.) If you have any comments, please feel fre to leave. So far I, I like the second one the best!

Multiple Exposure

------------------------------

This time I experimented double exposure photographs using my dad's old film camera. That camera is not made for double exposure so each frame is not exactly overlapped, and most of pics were simply not working. But, still I got some funny shots.

I especially love higher ISO films, I mean grainy ones are awesome. I can't explain well, but I think film photo can express more sadness or painful feeling. Part of this experimentation was checking out, what's the difference between "film: double exposure" and "Photoshop: Screen filter". I guess they are similar, but completely different. If it's film, each images integrated well, a lot more than just "screened" two different images, I think. I like film better, even though it' a lot harder to control. Of course I love computer, but as a graphic designer, I wanna be analog one, as much as I can.

Oh, one more thing, when I'm taking digital photo, unexpected blurriness is totally sucks, but if it's film, unexpected blurriness is totally awesome! haha, I donno why, but I do think so.
Anyway, so now I'd love to back to film, and wanna take a lot more photos especially on weekends. So if you are one of the artsy cool camera people, let's go small travel around Tokyo and take some pics with me ; )

Windosill

My co-worker, Yuri recently found this website,
"Windosill" and recommended it to me. This is really good. I think it's based on Flash program, but it moves so quick, sometimes movement is three dimensional, so I have no idea how creator did it.. It's more like an art piece, than a game. You might confuse when you started it, but you will enjoy the exploration process. Please try. (It's free, but if you wanna try complete version, you can pay $3, but you can enjoy enough with free trial version.) I recommend it a lot.

Seems like it's a part of project called,
"Vectorpark", their other works are also pretty good, all of them have nice atmosphere. I think I'll purchase full version sometime soon.

WRITE THE FUTURE

--------------------

I couldn't make a new post such a long time.. I was as busy as bee, like almost all other designers do. haha. After getting a new job, I had too much things to think about, and worried bit too much. But now, my situation is getting better, happy about it ;) One of my favorite quote by graphic designer, Stefan Sagmeister "Worrying Solves Nothing". Now, I feel like that. Because of my final thesis project, my co-workers expected me a lot, sometimes I feel pressure, but I guess it's a good chance to get a cool job. Other new employee are quite fun and we are good friends. I'm helped by them a lot. I want to meet their expectations, and wanna create something new which might be makes someone's life happier.

Today's vid is Nike's global football advert, created by Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam. And this is f**kin awesome. Love it love it love it. Well, Nike ad is always pretty cool as you know, but this one, I thought it's different. It's just so rich contents, and surprised about that only 3 minutes can tells you a lot: Each athlete's life and their background, each country's culture, and at the same time this 3 minutes makes you laugh, makes you tensional, and makes you impressed. Through "football". I love their sharp wits. Because of this advert, I would love to see football now! (But I haven't had TV in my new apartment...) However, I wanna see inside of this director's head, how the hell he could imagine this story? So crazy, two thumbs up, well, maybe I should do four thumbs up. (include my big toes)

--------------------

By the way, I'm finally getting used to Tokyo lifestyle. I still hate rush hour's train in Tokyo, but watching bright Shinjyuku's neon signs from the train is good. Especially at the midnight, when I'm on the way to go home, that kinda makes me calm. And somehow that makes me feel like it was good choice to come to Tokyo. My current favorite music is Nujabes. Night view could be visualized image when I'm listening his sounds. my favorite truck is With Rainy Eyes. Its bit sad, but I love it always.
